Hacked Apple ID - what can I do?
I am not sure if this is the right place for my question, but I have
nowhere else to look for help.
Today I got an email from Apple informing me that my Apple ID account
information has been updated and the following information has changed:
email, password, credit card number. Without any confirmation from me (no
mails beforehand, no SMSs, no telephones, nothing). I haven't used my
Apple ID for about 2 years now, to be honest I forgot that I ever had one,
because I sold my iPod. I assume that my Apple ID has been stolen.
The problem is I can't recover my password neither through e-mail (because
it has been changed) nor through security questions, because my real
birthday doesn't work (a while ago I started using fake birthdays in
registrations for... well, security purposes, how ironic, however I'm not
sure if it was me who set the fake date or the attacker).
It's Sunday, so my national Apple Support Line is not working. I also
can't contact the Apple Support through their online form, because they
seem to reject any phone number I enter (fake ones and, as a last stand,
my real one).
I'm worried that my Apple ID might be exploited for carding or other
illegal activity. What can I do? Is there a universal Apple Support e-mail
address? Worldwide support line working on Sundays?
